Lindsay Hardie grew up with a deep curiosity about people, studying neuroscience at the University of Pennsylvania before earning her doctorate in clinical psychology from the University of Nevada, Reno. When she married her husband Kirk in 2010, she became part of a family with a 100-year business, giving her firsthand experience of what it means to marry into a family system, with all its complexity, opportunity, and responsibility.
Her personal experience shaped the direction of her professional life. After completing her doctoral training under Steven Hayes, the developer of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Lindsay focused her practice on the intersection of wealth, family, and business. She now works as a wealth psychologist and Legacy Coach with individuals, couples, families, and family enterprises, with a particular focus on the "married-in" experience and helping families navigate transitions in wealth and business ownership.
Her work includes coaching family members and stakeholders, developing governance frameworks, and supporting the emotional and relational dimensions of family enterprise. She is a featured thought leader with the Purposeful Planning Institute and has appeared on podcasts including Aspiriant's Money Tale$. Lindsay lives in Reno, Nevada with her husband and two young children.
She believes that healthy family dynamics and effective governance go hand in hand. She comes to this work from the inside out — as a family member, a psychologist, and someone who believes families are capable of extraordinary things when they are aligned around a shared vision and are willing to do the work to make it a reality.
