Helena Karchere helps family enterprises navigate governance, leadership, succession, and family dynamics to support family flourishing across generations. Having worked alongside her own parents, she understands firsthand the rewards and challenges of balancing family relationships with business responsibilities.
Throughout her career, Helena has partnered with business owners, executives, and leadership teams to build healthier organizations through leadership development, strategic facilitation, and technical training. She is known for creating environments where families can address difficult topics with honesty, curiosity, and respect—whether they are preparing for succession, forming boards and councils, developing the next generation, or working through conflict.
Helena is an experienced facilitator whose approach combines decades of corporate leadership development experience with advanced training in Shadow Work® coaching and group facilitation. Her ability to guide emotionally complex conversations helps families move beyond surface-level discussions to build deeper trust, stronger communication, and lasting alignment.
Helena serves as director of the Bailey Program for Family Enterprise at the University of Denver, where she has built a thriving educational and networking community of family businesses and family offices. Earlier in her career, she built and led the Global Learning Center of Excellence at Ball Corporation, overseeing enterprise learning strategy, technical training, and leadership development for a global workforce.
Helena holds a BA and MBA from the University of Redlands, and a graduate certificate in Alternative Dispute Resolution from the University of Denver. She is an ICF Professional Certified Coach (ACC), Family Business Coach, Certified Professional in Talent Development, Certified Shadow Work® Coach, and Enneagram practitioner. She is passionate about helping families cultivate both successful enterprises and healthy relationships that endure for generations.
